Picture rail
Traditional picture rail moulding
Because hammering nails into the plasterwork will damage the wall, and is likely to cause the plaster to crumble, a picture rail is an ideal solution. Instead of using nails, pictures can be suspended from the picture rail by using a wire and a picture rail hook. Rearranging the pictures is as simple as moving the hooks around.
Our shop offers traditional, wooden picture rail with matching hooks and cords.
Our wooden picture rails are made out of Ayous wood and are FSC and PEFC certificated. Ayous wood differs from other wood types since it does not deform nor splinter, and is perfectly suitable to repaint because of its smooth texture. Perfect wood for your picture hanging system! Can be mounted with screws, nails and glue.

Decorative picture hangers
The picture rail is an old invention. It served both an aesthetic and practical function. This functional moulding was in most cases made of wood, installed just below the ceiling. It is most commonly seen in older homes with a plaster wall. Picture rails have always been used for its decorative aspects as well. All kinds of decorated picture rail hooks have been made throughout the years. These picture hangers are also available in matching Victorian style and their appearance is very, very traditional.
